Health and Safety Engineer at Lantmännen Biorefineries

Then you might be the one we are looking for! We are looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Engineer who wants to contribute to a sustainable and safe workplace at our facility in Lidköping.

Your Responsibilities

As a Health and Safety Engineer at Lantmännen Biorefineries, you will play a central role in developing and ensuring the company's work in occupational health, safety & environment. You will coordinate the company's efforts in occupational health, safety, and environment by developing methods, instructions, and tools that ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. An important part of the role is to drive issues within the systematic work environment management (SAM) and to support the organization in matters concerning occupational health, safety, and environment. Furthermore, you will support the organization by participating in risk assessments, root cause analyses, and accident investigations, as well as ensuring documentation and reporting. You will act as an internal auditor for our certifications and serve as a contact person for authorities and other external stakeholders. The role also involves training staff in the area of responsibility and having an expert role in occupational health, safety, and environment in projects and development work. You will also be involved in work related to the external environment and collaborate with the environmental engineer on certain issues. Therefore, it is advantageous if you have experience working with environmental issues within the process industry, environmental management systems, etc. In this role, you will report to Gustaf Collin, QEHS Manager Lidköping.

What You Need to Succeed and Thrive

You have:

• An academic degree in a relevant field.
• Several years of experience working with occupational health, safety, and environment, preferably from the process industry.
• Good knowledge of relevant regulations and processes within occupational health, safety, and environment.
• The ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

• Organized in your work approach with a good ability to prioritize among different tasks and create your own structure.
• Flexible to find new ways forward in unexpected changes.
• Self-driven with a good ability to advance your own work.
• Relationship-building with a knack for establishing connections that lay a good foundation for collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
